WARNING !!
Took my old Volvo 440 to this shower in December 2012 to fix a stalling problem. Estimate for the work was £300, without contacting me to discuss the final bill was £750. Note that at this time the car had less than 50k on the clock. Before I picked it up they called me with a list of "other work" needed for the MOT due in May 2013. This related to the front suspension being "dangerous" and totaled nearly £400. I declined their "offer". I moved out of the area and from Dec 2012 until I took the car for its MOT I drove another 10,000 miles and during that time I had no reason to suspect anything wrong at all with the suspension or anything else. I took the car for its MOT to a local garage , a member of the "goodgarages" scheme, asking them to thoroughly check the suspension. Result? The car FLEW through the MOT with one advisory for minor corrosion to the power steering pipes which Bowens had obviously missed, perhaps because it's trivial. So, if you want to spend loads of money on having your car repaired and make Mr Bowen a happy man, I'd recommend this garage. If you'd rather not be ripped off, go somewhere else. honest, reliable, reasonable
We have been taking our cars to Bowens for years and can honestly say so far we've always been really impressed with the service, they are a very honest garage who know we have been on a tight budget and seem to consider this when quoting, rather than adding on slightly unnecessary things like most garages do.an example of this is that one year we made the mistake of getting a quote for a new exhaust from an exhaust specialist and it was loads more than here. They are friendly and the repairs are far from shoddy. We would certainly recommend this garage ******

The review below by Mr Christopher Roberts should be taken with a pinch of salt. It has been written by a notorious troll who gets his kicks from abusing the innocent publicly. He trolls the parents of missing and sick children online, is known to Gloucester police for his trolling activity, there are several blogs online dedicated to exposing his online behaviour. I would be surprised if he had even used this garage, but even if he has, his review is highly likely to be filled with abusive lies, which, when delivered online on reviews such as this, can seriously damage someones reputation and business.
